Markzware unveils FlightCheck 2023 macOS Preflight Application

Markzware (Dayton, Nevada) has released its new FlightCheck 2023 for macOS. This stand-alone preflight application for graphic designers and printers now includes checks for Pantone colours and Type 1 Fonts. The new software previews, inspects, analyzes, and provides a complete Inventory Report, to ensure accurate, print-ready PDF and native files. “FlightCheck is the prepress solution that enables companies to easily set up cost-efficient preflight workflow stations for quality print output,” the company added.

Markzware’s intelligent preflight software detects what the human eye can’t, ensuring that document files are validated for print production. FlightCheck then collects and packages all required print elements – before sending, outputting, or archiving. “Today’s print workflows have unique quality-control demands. Creatives and prepress professionals will be glad to have Markzware’s dependable preflight solution, FlightCheck, in their print production toolbox,” said Patrick Marchese, President and CEO of Markzware.

FlightCheck is ideal for graphic designers, publishers, printers, and those who create and prepare documents for printing or for file archiving. FlightCheck also includes branding capabilities for advertising, printing, publishing, and reseller partners worldwide, that includes their identity within the FlightCheck Reports. This new preflight application also supports new photo-image types, including WebP and HEIC formats. ‘Job-stopping’ problems that FlightCheck can reveal include:

• Unsupported Pantone Colours
• Used Type 1 Fonts
• Image resolution that’s too low or too high
• Image scaling and rotation
• Fonts that are not embedded
