Significans Automation named Canadian dealer for GMG Colour

Significans Automation (Toronto), a specialist in creating customized, automated workflows for the printing and graphic arts industries, has announced that it’s now a full dealer for the entire GMG Colour product portfolio in Canada. GMG high-end colour management software is ideal for a wide range of applications – including prepress, offset, flexo, packaging, digital and large-format printing. Its latest product, OpenColor, uses minimal press data to produce separations, contract proofs and prototypes for colour environments that include CMYK, spot colours and an expanded colour gamut.

Significans Automation was established in 2018 by a team of leading print and graphic arts experts who share more than 100 years of experience. The company is led by Marc Raad, Executive Vice President, and Mircea Petrescu, CEO and CTO. The company is built on foundations laid by Myrpress Consulting, a consultancy that Petrescu founded in 2012 to develop automated, customized workflows, and which serviced a large customer base in 27 countries.
“We’re a game-changer for the graphic arts industry because we offer an innovative approach to workflow development,” said the company. “We believe that the only way for companies to find success in the future is to adopt customized automated workflows that reduce labour and other costs. Our leading-edge services will enable users to achieve unmanned production environments and will position them to take advantage of the benefits presented by the spread of artificial intelligence and robotics. We apply our extensive expertise to creating sophisticated automated workflows that are built on existing foundational systems – such as Esko Automation Engine, Enfocus Switch and other leading solutions. These programs will deliver the greatest benefit only when they’re customized and tailored to your individual needs and requirements. And our customization services deliver significant savings, efficiencies and profitability.”
