Sandy Alexander (Clifton, NJ), one of the nation’s largest privately-owned graphic communications and marketing specialists, has become the first in the United States to purchase Agfa Graphics’ new Jeti Tauro H3300 LED printing system. Sandy Alexander has evolved into a multi-platform, multi-channel marketing communications company since opening its doors 55 years ago and currently supplies a range of graphic communication solutions – including data-driven marketing campaigns, computer graphic studio services, digital printing, direct mail and retail visual merchandising, to name a few. The company is ever-evolving and always has an eye towards expanding its services. As such, it wanted to upgrade the quality of its Orlando, Florida wide-format digital printing operation. The combination of high-speed and extreme printing quality of Agfa Graphics’ Jeti Tauro H3300 LED wide-format printer caught their attention, and in fact allowed the shop to double its output without sacrificing print quality levels on master rolls, using the dual-roll mode on the Jeti Tauro H3300. What’s more, the 3.2m/10-foot-wide flatbed printer substantially increased board production.

The Jeti Tauro H3300 LED offers four levels of automation so users can configure the engine to their specific needs – either manual loading and unloading, master roll-to-roll, semi-automation and full automation. Sandy Alexander opted for the roll-to-roll configuration that’s capable of handling heavy master single-rolls or dual-rolls for double the productivity. Their system also has a stacker for semi-automation which can unload up to four boards at a time. With its newfound capabilities, Sandy Alexander is well positioned to continue offering its broad customer base with the high levels of quality and service that they’ve come to expect. The Jeti Tauro H3300 LED features a print resolution of 635 x 1,200 dpi in all print modes, and can produce prints up to 130 inches wide (3.3 m) at speeds up to 4,676 ft²/h (453 m2/h).
