Leading global packaging and label OEM Nilpeter A/S (with headquarters in Slagelse, Denmark and North American offices in Cincinnati, Ohio) has made the tough decision to cancel all tradeshow participation this year. Nilpeter A/S will instead focus on virtual promotions of its digital, flexo, gravure and offset presses through one-to-one presentations in 2022, citing concerns regarding COVID-19 variants, as well as worldwide machine component shortages.
“Based on experience gained from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic the past two years, we’ll continue our successful focus on virtual promotions. Therefore, Nilpeter has decided not to exhibit at tradeshows in 2022,” said Jakob Landberg, Sales & Marketing Director at Nilpeter A/S. “Participation in exhibitions and tradeshows requires a strong commitment and a great deal of preparation from machine manufacturers. With the uncertainty related to the spread of new variants of COVID-19, we don’t find it in our best interest to participate in this year’s tradeshows and will instead focus on sales-related activities in Nilpeter’s Technology Centers in Denmark, the USA, India, Thailand and Brazil. We have prioritized the health and safety of our staff, sales partners, and certainly customers, while intensifying product development – namely the FA-26 and MO-Line Fusion, both which were introduced during the pandemic. This strategy will be continued throughout this year.”
Landberg added that, for the past six months, the global equipment component shortage has proven to be a challenge, resulting in long delivery times of its products as well as significant price increases on raw materials and components. “All available press production capacity will be prioritized towards meeting the delivery requirements of our customers. Nilpeter looks forward to exhibiting at future expos once circumstances allow it.”
