Insource Technology Solutions Summit a resounding success

Insource, a Canadian leader in mailing and fulfillment, printing and packaging solutions, and inkjet technology, held its first-ever Technology Solutions Summit December 1-3 at its head office and showroom in Markham, Ontario. The special RSVP event was attended by several hundred industry professionals and featured the industry’s most up-to-date equipment and technology solutions covering covering mail processing, vision systems, digital finishing, inkjet printing, short-run packaging, bindery solutions and much more.

In all, 20 unique products from 10 world-leading manufacturers were showcased by seven of the industry’s most knowledgeable equipment specialists. Attendees enjoyed live equipment demonstrations, special presentations and one-on-one guidance from some industry experts. These included Jim Williams (Kirk Rudy), Andre D’Urbano (Riso), Brian Watt (Domtar), Kristie Kranitz (Flagship), Colin Johnson (Petratto), Alyssa Wright (Westlund), Slava Apel (Amazing Print Tech) and Nanette Cook (Thermotype). “Our goal was to provide a successful, educational, on-site technology experience for the paper handling industry,” said Kareem Sesook, Director of Business Development at Insource (pictured previously). “We were very fortunate to have such a diverse and resourceful group of partners who were so willing to support our initiatives to provide such opportunities.”

This timely discussion delved into the various inkjet systems on the market today, the applications where they’re used, and how they can boost a company’s profits.
Kristie Kranitz – Flagship: Data and Canada Post in Review. This session provided a CPC review – from government directives to product simplification and specification changes – so that mailers can take advantage of new postal initiatives and get the most from their postal budget.

Slava Apel – Amazing Print Tech. Did you know that over 60% of a printer’s online sales are made before customers even contact you, simply by them visiting your website? Apel discussed Boosting Sales Through Online Marketing And Web-To-Print Automation. He shared his experiences in successful marketing, automation and digital print finishing. He also delved deeply into cloud-based automation and print marketing, how to choose which products will sell well online, how to create marketing strategies with the highest ROI, how to choose the most popular print products, and outlined the top 10 online marketing and sales techniques for print shops.

There’s been a lot of discussion in the industry about digital printing, growth and upcoming dominance within the print industry. Attendees learned how the modern digital shop allows organizations to output finished digital print faster without compromising on creativity or quality.
