Roland DGA (Irvine, California) has introduced new HeatSoft Premium heat-transfer material (ESM-HTMP) to its line of printable media. This flexible, 3.5-mil matte polyurethane film with a water-base coating is smooth, soft to the touch, and “yields vibrant prints resembling screen-printed graphics,” said the OEM. Supplied on a recyclable clear polyester liner, HeatSoft Premium is simple to weed and transfer, allowing for optimum ease of use and increased productivity. It’s also lightweight and extremely durable – and because it can be applied at temperatures as low as 72°F (120°C), it’s ideal for heat-sensitive garments.

“This new addition to our media line is stretchable, has a true matte finish, and allows for beautiful prints that can be transferred to a variety of materials – including cotton, polyester, cotton-poly blend, Spandex, and Lycra,” said Roland DGA Senior Product Manager Lily Hunter. “Weeding is incredibly easy, and transferring HeatSoft Premium is a breeze as well – you just lift the graphic off its backing liner with our PTM2 heat-transfer mask and apply it to the clothing item or accessory.” HeatSoft Premium can also withstand up to 50 wash cycles and is compatible with Roland DG’s eco-solvent inks and all Roland DG eco-solvent printers and printer/cutters.
