Digidelta (Torres Novas, Portugal), an international manufacturer of the Decal brand of environmentally friendly wide-format print media and PVC-free and solvent-free materials, has launched its new Decal vinyl anti-humidity collection that eliminates common problems such as vinyl waving and curling. The brand’s goal is to help signage and wide-format printers lower costs by eliminating humidity issues, while reducing installation times and material waste. The overall aim of Digidelta’s adhesive consumables is to help graphic arts professionals not only in the printing phase, but also in the finishing and application process, making them more profitable while reducing installation time.
Among the direct benefits in printing, said the company, are a reduction in cleaning and wear of printheads, as well as reduced consumables’ waste (vinyl and inks). As far as installation, the alignment of the registration marks is protected and laminations can now be made without stains, crumples or bubbles. Plus, positioning the vinyl becomes easier, crumples and tears of the liner decrease significantly, and changes in the relative humidity levels at each installation location are no longer a concern.
