SinaLite installs second Agfa Jeti Tauro H2500

Agfa Jeti Tauro H2500 LED wide-format printer

SinaLite (Markham, Ontario), a leading Canadian trade-only printer, has purchased its second Jeti Tauro H2500 LED wide-format flatbed hybrid system from Agfa Canada (Mississauga, Ontario). In October, the company added a new Kornit Avalanche HD6 Textile Printer to its current Kornit Storm HD6 Textile Printer, to quickly fulfill the increase in demand for its printed apparel products, while also expanding its on-demand DTG (Direct-To-Garment) production. Jeti Tauro technology will enable SinaLite to swiftly deliver signage and wide-format print products to their customers across North America as demand increases.

“We’re achieving superior quality and operating faster turnaound times with the Jeti Tauro,” said Mike Meshkati, President of SinaLite. “Our goal is to empower our clients by providing the print services, tools and knowledge they need to achieve success. The Jeti Tauro is delivering the wide-format products they require to grow their business.” The award-winning Jeti Tauro H2500 LED wide-format engine offers SinaLite productivity gains with print speeds of 2,960 ft2/hr (275 m2/h). The robust hybrid production printer has an integrated roll-to-roll system and advanced automation for a huge range of rigid and flexible media applications. With limitless possibilities for high-end sign and display products, the Jeti Tauro H2500 LED prints media up to 2.54 meters (100”) wide in vivid 6-colour plus white, or white and primer. The white ink function creates possibilities for printing on transparent materials for backlit applications, or printing white as a spot colour.

“Our expanded services are perfect for print providers looking to test the market before making a large investment,” said Brian Meshkati, SinaLite’s Vice President. “We encourage our clients to diversify and offer educational tools so they can succeed. We teach our clients how to sell wide-format products and services and help them transition. Large format is a growing business segment, and we want our partners to prosper. We also have greater control of our operational costs due to the Jeti Tauro’s low-ink consumption. In the wholesale business, we must have efficient costing for our reseller clients. Agfa’s patented technology delivers a low ink laydown and produces brilliant graphics, even on coroplast,” he added.

Due to Agfa’s ‘thin-inklayer’ technology, ink consumption per square metre is the lowest on the market. The technology is based on a combination of pigments with exceptional colour strength, matched printer components that yield low waste and low maintenance, and smart algorithms in Agfa’s Asanti workflow and colour-management software.
